Uniformed Organisations at St Thomas'

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are part of Girlguiding UK and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in which members are united in the making of a promise, developing beliefs and working together. Girls develop self-confidence, independence, commitment and resilience. They build friendships, learn new skills, give service and have fun.

The Girlguiding programme comprises six themes which run from Rainbows, through Brownies and Guides and onto Rangers, as below. St Thomas' Church currently hosts a Rainbow group and Brownie pack.

  • Know Myself
  • Express Myself
  • Be Well
  • Have Adventures
  • Take Action
  • Skills for My Future

Within each theme girls participate in Unit meeting activities and challenges, work towards Interest badges and develop through Skills Builders.
