Kids @ St Thomas' (0-12 years)

Children and young people are a very important part of the church's life - if not the most important part. For this reason we have an exciting range of groups (listed below) for young people from 0-18, which aim to be as enjoyable and as nourishing as possible.

We take our responsibility for young people very seriously and practice safe care via our child protection policy (a copy of which is available from our church office).

Our children and young people's groups meet on Sunday mornings (apart from once a month when we hold All Age services in Cafe Church and you can see dates for this in the calendar):

  • Creche (0-3 years)
  • Sparklers (Nursery to P2) meet downstairs in the Crypt
  • Spotlight (P3 to P6) meet in the Gyle Hall
  • Fusion (P7 to Secondary school age) meet in the Lennon Rooms

The resource material that we use for Sparklers and Spotlight is sourced from Scripture Union's range of Bible-based learning resources for children, young people and adults, Light provides a great mix of tried and tested Bible teaching which is flexible, dynamic, fresh, relevant and fun.

For Fusion we use the on-line support from Youth for Christ to teach youngsters of the relevance of God in everyday life.

When meeting in person, our Youth Fellowship (S1 to S6) hold their meetings on Sunday evenings. Contact our Young People's Worker for details of the current programme.
